Warning, there are reports on the wibbly wobbly web that installation of the fix pack can take upwards of 8 hours! It maybe to do with A/V scanning of the hotfix.ini file so you may want to disable scanning for that file. See this post on Ulrich Krause's blog (and the comment).

darren, can you add anything to this. Seems after we install 8.5.1 FP3 on Windows 7 and go to launch we get an error "existing notes process detected", etc.. If we click to "run this program as administrator" it launches fine. Is there anything special with the install on windows 7 that would require the program to be run as an administrator?

Any time I see an error like this it is usually permissions issues in Windows. Be sure to check that each folder security permission is setup correctly where ever you installed Notes to. Also check the Notes data folder if that is in a different location.
