Information Week on IBM and Sun. Do these writers ever research anything
Ed Scannell of Information Week writes a short piece about the prospect of IBM and Sun cozying up together:
Are you kidding me? Have you seen Symphony or Lotus Notes 8? Note to author, do even the briefest of research and you will avoid looking like a complete idiot.

And while Sun has had decent success with OpenOffice, IBM hasn't exhibited any interest in open source desktop productivity software since it sold off its PC business to Lenovo a few years ago.
